History

Stagecoach North West’s 19045 was introduced in September 2006 as part of a batch of 23 for Stagecoach Newcastle / Busways. Less than a year later, in Q2 2007, it transferred to Preston in Lancashire, where it was originally branded for their ‘Citi 2’ service between Southport and Longridge.

In 2008, the bus was rebranded for their ‘Citi 1’ service, running between the city centre and Longridge for their 24-hour services. After this, it was de-branded and resumed regular service across the entire network, where it remained in service until the end of 2015.

In December 2015, the bus transferred to Gillmoss in Liverpool for use across Merseyside. It then moved again to Rock Ferry for their cross-Mersey services into Birkenhead and Chester before finally moving to Chester depot in 2017, where it saw out the end of its service life in the North West.

In June 2019, the bus transferred to Fife for use across their Scottish network. It made its final transfer in 2024 to Hull, where its new electric fleet was expected. The depot used it in regular service until around a month ago when the electrics started to be rolled out. The bus then moved to Scunthorpe for storage. After 20 years with Stagecoach, the vehicle was stood down and sold to us for preservation.
