2027 Calendar Competition

Wigan Bus Preservation is delighted to announce our very first photography competition!

We’re looking for your outstanding photographs featuring the buses from our fleet (both past and present) to feature in our 2027 calendar. No matter your skill, we’d love to see your contributions. Each winner will receive a free copy of the 2027 calendar. Keep reading to find out how you can get involved.

Our calendar will be available to purchase, and details of how you can get your copy will be available closer to the time of release.

Competition Rules:

• All photographs must feature a bus owned by Wigan Bus Preservation.
• Images can be from any event that we have attended or when you have seen us out and about, but MUST be when the vehicle is under WBP ownership.
• Entries may contain vehicles belonging to other groups, however a WBP vehicle must be the subject of the photograph.
• Photographs must be your own work and be of a high printable quality.
• Each entrant may submit up to 5 photographs.
• Images should not contain watermarks or added text. Credit will be included under each image used.
• By entering, you grant Wigan Bus Preservation permission to use your photograph(s) in the 2027 calendar, all related & future promotional media. Photographer credit will be included.
• Please include when and where each photograph was taken (event & date).

Closing Date:
All entries must be received by 15:00 on Sunday 27^th September 2026. Entries submitted after this will not be considered.

Judging:
Entries will be judged by the Wigan Bus Preservation team based on multiple factions including: image quality, composition, and overall creativity. The judges’ decision is final.
